Rio Hondo, TX- Jose Angel Rodriguez, Jr. (Chacho), 86, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was born April 23, 1924 in Concrete, TX to +Jose Angel Rodriguez and +Reyes Salazar. He is survived by his wife, Maria H. Rodriguez; his sons and daughters, Luciana Sanchez, Maria Zavala, Jesse (Lucy) Rodriguez, Amelia Zuniga, George (Ernie) Rodriguez, Lolita (Gerald) Mora, Larry (Dora) Rodriguez and Yolanda (Joe) Lira; brothers, Paulino Rodriguez, Eugenio "Jimmy" (Genoveva) Rodriguez, Juan "Johnny" (Manuela) Rodriguez; sisters, Dora (Efrain) Florez and Irene Rodriguez; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Roberto, Santana, Jose Guadalupe and Felix Rodriguez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Committal Service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
