Los Fresnos, TX- Matilde Ortiz Gonzalez, 96, of Los Fresnos passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gumecindo Gonzalez; a son, Miguel Antonio Gonzalez; and several brothers and sisters.
Matilde is survived by her daughter-in-law, Maria Antonia Gonzalez; and a grandson, Luis Miguel Gonzalez; and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow to Los Cuates Cemetery.
