Sergio Padilla, 57, of Brownsville/Port Isabel, TX passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. Sergio Padilla was born in Matamoros, Mexico on October 7, 1952 to Ines and Margarita Martinez Padilla.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Deyanira Padilla; and brother, Nelse Aguilar.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Ismelda Escamilla Padilla; his children, Andrea Padilla, Rosa Padilla, Yahaira (Martin) Padilla-Dwayne, Bianca Padilla, Brenda Lopez, Liliana Herrera; 11 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Tomas Padilla, Felipe Padilla, Juana Maria Selpulveda, Eva Collin, and Elsa Aguilar.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel.
Chapel Service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery. Words of Comfort may be sent to the family of Sergio Padilla at www.thomaegarza.com.
