San Benito/ El Calaboz, Tx: Today, if you hear that Raquel Escamilla of San Benito & El Calaboz, Texas has died; don't you believe a word of it! Raquel is now more alive than she ever was on earth.
She was born in 1926 (February 15th) to Rafael and Candelaria Trevino and born-again in 1981, at which time Raquel received Jesus Christ into her heart and He wrote her name in His Heavenly Book of Life. Her life was never the same after meeting Jesus personally. Raquel is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, living with Him forever in His presence.
She has reunited with her husband, Eleno Escamilla, her parents, Rafael and Candelaria Trevino and a brother, Roberto Trevino;
Raquel is survived by her loving children, Sylvia Escamilla, Javier (Ana) Escamilla, Nelda (George Velarde) Fayette, Diana Escamilla, and Daniel Escamilla; 7 Grandchildren, Nora (David) Douglas, Mito Chavez, Carlos (Kathy) Chavez, Manuel (Melisa) Chavez, Caleb Edgar Escamilla, Joseph Eddric Escamilla and Bianca (Kenneth Torres) Fayette; 2 Great Grandchildren, Cailey Rae Chavez and Gabriel Elias Chavez; Her brother, Antonio Trevino; and a sister, Armandina "Dina" Lucas;
Join us in celebrating Raquel's graduation into God's glorious kingdom on Saturday September 04, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Services to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel in San Benito; Visitation will continue on Sunday September 05,2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Chapel Services will be held at 10:00 on Monday September 06, 2010 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel and Interment will follow to Escamilla Cemetery in El Calaboz, Texas;
Honored to be pallbearers are Mito Chavez, Carlos Chavez, Manuel Chavez, Joseph Eddric Escamilla, Mark Trevino and George Velarde.
Honorary pallbearers are David Douglas and Caleb Edgar Escamilla.
