Brownsville, TX - Nicolas Araiza Soto, 95, of Brownsville, TX passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Herlinda Galvan Soto; parents; Victor Soto and Gerarda Araiza; his brothers and sisters, Victor Soto Araiza, Antonio Soto Araiza, Damiana Soto de Salinas, Petra Soto de Galvan, Florencio Soto Araiza, Marcelo Soto Araiza, and Leocadia Soto Araiza.
He is survived by his loving children, Amado (Isabel) Soto, Nicolas Soto, Jr., Jose Guadalupe Soto, Victor Soto, Maria Cira Ramos, Jose Evaristo (Guadalupe+) Soto, Maria Del Rosario (Jose Luis) Valdez, and Jose Marcos Soto; 20 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; a brother, Catarino Soto Araiza; and a sister, Santiaga Soto de Quijada.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home Chapel in San Benito, TX.
A Chapel Service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will be follow to Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Jose Marcos Soto, Jose Evaristo Soto, Victor Soto, Amado Soto, Jose Evaristo Soto, Jr., and Jose Luis Valdez, Jr.
