Obituary of Oscar Eduardo Elizondo

Brownsville, Texas: Oscar Eduardo Elizondo was born on April 30, 1973 in Brownsville, TX. On June 18, 2010, he went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was an EMT and firefighter in South Padre Island, TX. Previously, Oscar worked for Med-Care in McAllen, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Oscar Elizondo, his paternal grandmother, Blanca Trevino Casas; His paternal great grandparents, Edelmiro and Francisca Sepulveda; Oscar is survived by his wife, Reyna Rocio Elizondo of Brownsville; two sons, Oscar Jose Elizondo and Adrian Jose Elizondo; and a daughter, Vivianna Rocio Elizondo all of Brownsville; he is also survived by his mother, Laura M. (Tom) Feagins; his brothers, Jose Raul (Tiffany) Elizondo, Rene Gerardo (Yvette) Elizondo, Carlos Alberto (Cindy) Elizondo and Mario Alejandro (Celina) Elizondo; his maternal grandmother, Coty Sepulveda; his mother in law, Linda Zambrano; brother in law, Joel Zambrano Jr.; sister in law, Yadira Zambrano; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 20, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel in San Benito. Visitation will continue on Monday June 21, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito with funeral procession departing the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. with a Mass of Resurrection will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1055 Military Hwy 281 in Brownsville with Decon Francisco Garza officiating. Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Oscar Eduardo Elizondo to Shriners Hospital for Children (for burned victims) at 815 Market Street, Galveston, TX 77550-2725 or call 1-800- 241-GIFT (4438). Oscar Eduardo is truly loved by his wife, children, mother, brothers and friends and will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace, Oscar.
