Los Fresnos/ Port Isabel, TX- Guadalupe B. Galvan, 71, of Los Fresnos/Port Isabel, TX passed away May 23, 2010 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen. Guadalupe was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel and St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos; she lived in Port Isabel for many years and resided in Los Fresnos for the past 17 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Manuela S. Briones. Guadalupe is survived by her husband, Jose Efrain Galvan, Sr.; her children, Janie G. (Bartolo, Jr.) Perez, Joe E. (Irma) Galvan, Jr., Gloria G. (Joe) Salinas and Norma Lucila (Bernardo) Aguilera; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Cristobal Briones; and a sister, Maria Gonzalez. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 visitation will continue from 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. with the Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located at 705 S. Longoria in Port Isabel. Interment will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Efrain Galvan III, Carlos Daniel Galvan, Bart Perez III, Bernie Aguilera Jr., Bartolo Perez Jr., Bernardo Aguilera, Jose Angel Salinas, and Frankie Aguilera.
