Eliseo "Cheo" Ochoa, 45, of Port Isabel, TX, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He graduated from Port Isabel High School in 1986 and was a life-long resident of Port Isabel. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He was a devoted fan of Port Isabel Tarpons and the Dallas Cowboys, and he loved playing pool and cards.. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio G. and Concepcion Azocar Ochoa; his sister, Maria Patricia Ochoa-Limon; his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Maria G. Lopez-Ochoa; and his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Porfiria Zurita-Azocar. He is survived by his wife, Sofia Flores Ochoa of Port Isabel, TX; two daughters, Marisol Flores of Houston, TX and Isabel Flores of Vera Cruz, MX; his son, Antonio Flores of Vera Cruz, MX; four grandchildren; his sister, Lali Betancourt of Port Isabel, TX; four brothers: Manuel (Julieta) Ochoa, Gregorio Ochoa Jr., Ramon Ochoa, and Abel (Sonia) Ochoa, all of Port Isabel, TX.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located on 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, TX, (956) 943-1297. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes. Serving as pallbearers are Frankie Gallardo, Benito Gallardo, Silvano Cruces Jr., Abel Cruces, Cristobal Betancourt Jr., Alex Betancourt, Manuel Ochoa, Abel Ochoa, and Gregorio Ochoa.
