San Benito, TX- Robert Jennings, 61, born in Mississippi on August 18,1948.Went to be with the Lord on March 16,2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He served his country in the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest; his mother, Ethel; and his two brothers, Larry and Jerry. Robert is survived by his children, Robert Jr. and Billie; his grandsons, Nathen, Kalob and Justin; and his siblings, Joann, Richard, Kenny, John David, Jimmy Don, T.C., Debbie and Lisa. This passage is in loving memory of my father, How do you say goodbye to someone you love as much as we loved you? It's the hardest thing any of us has ever had to do. You were the rock of this family. You taught me everything I know. If I turn out to be half the man you were my life will be complete. You were the best father and the very best grandfather the world has ever known. We wanted you to stay with us forever, but you couldn't miss that concert in heaven, with your dad, Ernest and brothers, Larry and Jerry. Even though you're in heaven I know your putting on one hell of a show. We will never stop missing you Dad. Your brothers and sisters have really been affected by your passing, because they also love you so much. I have been trying to do everything you asked me to Dad. It hasn't been easy. Even in death you taught me a lot. They really broke the mold in 1948 when they made you. There will never be another that comes close to you Dad. Everywhere I go you will be right beside me. The boys and I miss and love you so much. Thank you for everything Dad. You will always be in our hearts. This is not goodbye. It's just till we see each other again.
