Adan Medrano, Sr., 61, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Port Isabel and was employed for many years with formerly known as the Sheraton Hotel, now The Pearl Resort. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Josefina Camacho Medrano; three sisters: Graciela Holstein, Emma Gloria Perez, and Martha Medrano; and three brothers: Samuel Medrano, Eliseo Medrano, and Moises Medrano. He is survived by two sons, Adan (Danena) Medrano, Jr. of California and Abraham (Reyna) Medrano of Los Fresnos, TX; mother of his two sons, Rosa Medrano of Los Fresnos; seven grandchildren: Alliah Marie Medrano, Alexis Medrano, Megan Medrano, Makenna Medrano, Rio Redsky Sexton, Frankie Sexton, and Santi Angelo Sexton; three sisters: Esther Alaniz, Eva Torres, and Maria Elizabeth (Candelario) Martinez, all of Port Isabel. He is also survived several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday August 15, 2011 from 12 noon to 8:00 PM with a Chapel service to be held at 7:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito with Pastor Steven Hyde officiating.
