San Benito, TX/Humboldt, KS: Mary Josephine Sheerer, 78 passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Alta Vista Nursing Home in Brownsville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Hank" Sheerer.
Mary was a member of United Methodist Church of San Benito and a resident of San Benito since 1997.
She survived by her daughter, Treva Vinson of San Benito; her son, Delbert Sheerer of Chanute, Kansas; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Jeanette Kittlesved, Lois Berscheid, Delpha Dietrich, and Linda Carl.
No local services will be held.
Funeral service will be held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, located at 908 Central in Humboldt, Kansas 66748, (620) 473-2311.
In lieu of flowers memorial can be made in memory of Mary Josephine Sheerer to Sunny Glen Children's Home, 2380 W. Expressway 83, San Benito, TX 78586
