Obituary of Maria De La Fuente

San Benito, TX- Maria De La Fuente, 89, entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, August 7, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Maria is a lifelong resident of San Benito being born here on April 5, 1922 to the late Margarito and Felipa De La Fuente.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents; Margarito and Felipa De La Fuente, brothers and sisters: Ovidio De La Fuente Sr., Esteban De La Fuente, Margarito De La Fuente Jr., Ernestina Motley, Aurora Perez and Jose (Joe) De La Fuente.
Tia Maria was not only an aunt but a mother to all her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We thank Tia Maria for teaching us the lessons in life and for her unconditional love that she gave to her family and friends. Tia Maria, we love you more than words will ever be able to describe and we will not mourn your death but celebrate your beautiful life.
Left to cherish her memory are her sibilings: Roberto De La Fuente Sr., Judge Oscar De La Fuente, Juanita Ramirez, Concha Noyola and Alicia Garcia. Also surviving her are numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Thomae Garza Funeral Directors.
Mass of Resurrection will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Robert De La Fuente Jr., Javier De La Fuente, Esteban De La Fuente, Jorge De La Fuente, Ovidio De La Fuente Jr. And Oscar De La Fuente. Honorary pallberarers will be : Roberto De La Fuente Sr., Judge Oscar De La Fuente, Omar De La Fuente, Margarito De La Fuente, Crystal De La Fuente and David C. Tamez.
