Harlingen, Tx: Francisco "Frankie" Rangel Jr., age 40 entered God's Kingdom on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Sunshine Heaven Facility Care in Olmito, Texas. Frankie is survived by his parents Francisco and Elma Rangel; sisters Leticia Warner, Elsa Tamez, Meliza Harris, and Diana Flores; nephews Ramon, Michael, Eric, and Matthew. He proudly served in the United States Navy from July, 1989 until his honorable discharge April, 1993. While serving in the U.S. Navy he attained the National Defense Service Medal for dedicated support during the first Gulf War. Frankie earned a Bachelor of Science degree (Health and Human Performance) from University of Texas at Brownsville on December 19, 2009. He was full of life and laughter and enjoyed making others laugh. He gifted a lasting impression for everyone who met him. His quick wit, sense of humor, and laughter will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held today, Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with a chapel service will be held today at 2:00 P.M and the American Legion Post #43 Honor Guard of Brownsville, TX will begin at 3:00 P.M. Cremation will follow on Monday, February 22, 2010 to Sacred Park Crematorium.
