San Benito, TX- Santos Padilla, 58, of San Benito, TX passed away December 25, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He is preceded in death by his mother, Catarina M. Padilla; 2 sisters, Ernestina Padilla and Rosita Padilla; and a nephew, Ernesto M. Padilla. Santos is survived by his loving wife, Olivia Padilla; his daughter, Ann Marie Padilla; 3 stepdaughters, Monica Guzman, Lisa Barrientos and Edelmira Lopez; a stepson, Joey Lopez; and 9 step grandchildren; his previous wife, Petra Padilla; his 2 sons, Santos Padilla, Jr. and Samuel Padilla; his 5 daughters, Sandy Ann Padilla, Sonia P. Ramos, Sally P. Cuellar, Sara P. Gomez and Sue Ellen P. Canales; and 13 grandchildren; his father, Jesus Padilla, Sr., 4 brothers, Ernesto Padilla, Jesus Padilla, Jr., Eliseo Padilla and Armando Padilla; 3 sisters, Lupita P. Galvan, Linda P. Barron and Marti Padilla. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Committal Service followed to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
