Joseph A. Nunez, 28, of Port Isabel and McAllen, TX, passed away on December 15, 2009 in McAllen, TX. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Sylvia Nunez; and his maternal grandfather, Ralph Alexander West, Jr. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Mireya Nunez; his children, Jacob and Nicole Alexandria Nunez; his parents, Lulu and Joe Nunez; his sisters, Teresa (Frank) Barroso and Melissa (Jerry) Nunez; nephew, Isaac Barroso; and nieces, Ariel and Madilynn Zamarron; maternal grandmother, Concepcion T. West; uncle, Wesley (Victoria) West; aunts, Deborah West and Katie (Casey) Flores; paternal great grandmother, Bartola Moreno; aunts, Sylvia Guajardo (Alex), Leticia Nunez and Denise Joann Nunez; along with numerous aunt, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. to 4: 00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home and continue from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady Star of Sea Catholic Church located at 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady Star of Sea Catholic Church. Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium.
