San Benito, Texas- Maria Dolores Contreras Soria, 73, of San Benito, TX passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Berta Contreras; her children, Manuel C. Soria and Virginia Soria; and her grandson, Ricko Castillo, Jr. Maria is survived by her loving children, Marta S. (Romeo) Cantu; their children, Mandy Cantu and Randy Cantu; their grandchildren, Ashley Marie, Alex (Nano), Laila Alexis and Kali Nicole; Herminia S. (Jose) Herrera; their children, Candie, Christina, Marie, Joey, Claudia Annette and Jonathon Rey; their grandchildren, Noah Malachi, Micah Nathaniel and Ricardo Job; Isaac C. (Yrma) Soria; their children, Pepe, Angie and Isaac Jr.; their grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Ysabel, Adelylah, Gabriel, Sebastian and Karissa; Manuel Soria, Jr.; and Chris Capetillo; children, Manuel III (Olga), Santos (Victoria), Omero, Sonia Renee, Monica Beth and Marcos Antonio; his grandchildren, Orlando, Nyisa, Manuel IV, Jayla, Izabella and Micaela; Norma (Ricardo) Castillo; their children, Clerissa, +Ricko, Jr. and Ramiro Castillo; Samuel (Lisa) Soria; their children, Tracey Nicole and Samuel, Jr.; her sisters, Virginia Contreras, Emma Salinas and Mary Ybarra; and her brothers, Enrique Contreras and John Holiman; and held a special place in her heart for Maca Rodriguez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Las Yescas Cemetery.
