Port Isabel, TX- Santiago G. "Jimmy" Camacho, 58, of Port Isabel, TX passed away November 8, 2009 at Valley Grande Manor in Brownsville. Jimmy was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel; and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church of Port Isabel; he was also a shrimper in the shrimping industry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso T. and Maria Garcia Camacho; and a brother, Juan Jose "Johnny" Garza. Jimmy is survived by his 2 daughters, Sadie C. (Marcus) Fonseca of Helotes, TX; and Jocelyn Camacho of Georgia; a granddaughter, Ella Grace Fonseca of Helotes, TX; 7 brothers, Alfonso (Betty Jean) Camacho of Port Isabel; Francisco (Eugenia) Camacho of Port Isabel; Ismael (Maria Louisa) Camacho of Harlingen; Bernardo (Sylvia) Camacho of Port Isabel; Mario (Maria de Carmen) Camacho of Laguna Vista; Mares (Diane) Camacho of San Benito; and Pedro (Evelyn) Camacho of Laguna Vista; 4 sisters, Irma (Johnny) Perez of Port Isabel; Diana (Monte) Hoogerhide of New Port Richie, FL; Janie (Nestor) Lopez of Port Isabel; and Sarita Lopez of Port Isabel; and a sister in law, Diane Garza of Port Isabel. Visitations will be held on Tuesday, November 10. 2009 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and will continue from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, located at 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Santiago "Jimmy" Camacho to Our Lady Star of Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, TX 78578.
