Brownsville, TX: Juan Luis Villanueva, 57, of Brownsville, Texas passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at his residence in Brownsville. He is preceded in death by his father, Armando Villanueva, Sr.; and a brother, Armando Villanueva, Jr. Juan was a member of Good Sheppard Catholic Church of Brownsville; and a past resident of Immokalee, Florida. Juan is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rosaura Villanueva; his daughter, Maria Teresa Mendiola; his sons, Juan Luis Villanueva, Jr., Jorge Armando Villanueva and Rodolfo Villanueva; and his 9 grandchildren; his mother, Francisca Fernandez; brothers, Jose Manuel Villanueva, Prudencio Villanueva, Baldemar Villanueva and Arnoldo Villanueva; sisters, Maria Dolores Villanueva, Maria San Juana Villanueva, Maria Concepcion Collins, Martha Alicia De La Zota, Maria Guadalupe Padilla, Patricia Villanueva and Silvia Cantu. Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Good Sheppard Catholic Church in Brownsville. Committal Service will follow to Guillen Cemetery in Brownsville.
