San Benito, TX - Santos De La Rosa, Jr., 70, of San Benito, TX passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Santos Sr. and Navidad Garcia De La Rosa; and a brother, David De La Rosa.
Santos is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Amanda De La Rosa; his 4 children, Ida (Robert) De La Rosa Spence, Anna (Sharukh) De La Rosa-Khajotia, Michael (Helen Ye) De La Rosa, and Danny De La Rosa; his 6 grandchildren, Guadalupe Hernandez Jr., India Patricia Hernandez, Mia Sara Cortez, Raithel Jean Spence, Raina Isabella De La Rosa and another blessing in the family; 3 brothers, Alex (Bea) De La Rosa, Cleofas De La Rosa and Paul De La Rosa; 2 sisters, Janie (Richard) Perales and Mary (Jim) Franks; along with numerous other relatives.
Visitations will be held today, Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal Service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
