Port Isabel, TX- Bernardo Mota, Sr., 83, of Port Isabel, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his residence in Port Isabel, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Margarito Mota and Concepcion Buendia Mota; 3 brothers and a sister. Bernardo is survived by his loving wife, Esther Mota; his 5 children, Bernardo Mota, Jr., Emma Orozco, Carmen Mendoza, Gloria Rodriguez and Eva Ochoa; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Candelario Mota and Pedro Mota; and 5 sisters, Maria Leos, Elena Camacho, Lupe Mota, Margarita Salinas and Paz Medina. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home located at 395 S. Sam Houston Blvd. in San Benito. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Pallbearers will be Bernie Mota, Jr., Romolo De La Rosa, Ernesto Camacho, Michael Rodriguez, Javier Camacho and Bernie Mota III.
