Obituary of Lloyd McNamee

Lloyd D. McNamee, 88, of Port Isabel passed away on June 5, 2009 at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville after a lengthy illness. He moved to the valley in 1982 along with his wife, "K" they owned and operated the H & R Block for 10 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and a nephew. Survivors include Daughter, Nisa Ramos of Laguna Vista; granddaughter, Heather Ramos of Laguna Vista; and grandson, Matthew Ramos of San Antonio; nephew, Dennis (Mary) Martin of Longview; niece, Ruth Ellen Beerkle of Canton; and great niece, Misty Teer of Canton; Lloyd was a WWII Veteran with the Air Force who flew thirty one missions over Europe as a bombardier where he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service to his country. His favorite past times included fishing and crabbing behind his house and traveling the world. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Special thanks to family friend, Lionel Ramos for his support during his illness as well as the support of Angie and Pete Ramos. There will be a private service for his family and friends at his residence on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Thomae-Garza Funeral Directors, 395 S.
