Brownsville, TX- Andrea A. Martinez, 88, of Brownsville, TX passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcelino Martinez, Sr.; a daughter, Herlinda Martinez; her parents, Rosendo and Santos Aguirre; her brothers, Esteban Aguirre and Rosendo Aguirre, Jr; her sister, Francisca Aguirre and her daughter Herlinda Martinez. Andrea is survived by her children, Nora (Jose) Morales, Santos (Ninfa) Martinez, Ricardo (Alicia) Martinez, Marcelino, Jr. (Gloria) Martinez, and Juan Francisco (Dominga) Martinez; also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
