Please share a memory of Evelyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
S. Padre Island/Brownsville, TX- Evelyn E. Moore, born in Plymton, Nova Scotia, Canada and a longtime resident of Brownsville and South Padre Island passed away at the age of 97, after a brief illness, at her residence with her family present. Her lifelong interests were her family, her pets and all animals, a wide range of TV sporting events, world events, the arts, music and her daily crossword puzzle. Her exceptional skill in knitting beautiful heirloom afghans for the family and any other items using up scraps of yarn are treasured mementos.. She was fully engaged in these activities until March of this year. We consider ourselves blessed to have shared many years with her humor, recollection of stories and especially her desire to shop and redecorate. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Arthur W. Moore (10/29/94); her parents, H.W.B. and Annie Potter Warner; a sister, Marjorie Colwell; and a brother, Charles M. Warner. She is survived by her children, Gloria (Richard) Ridolfi, Arthur "Skip" Moore and Margie A. Moore, all of S. Padre Island, TX; and Charles A. Moore of Houston, TX; and a granddaughter, Bettina Ridolfi Tolin of S. Padre Island, TX. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Chapel by the Sea Church at Isla Blanca Park on S. Padre Island, with Chaplain Jim Denham officiating.
