San Benito, TX - Yolanda G. Galvan, 54, of San Benito passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen on Sunday, February 1, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe Gonzalez and Maria Trinidad Gonzalez; and her son, Daniel David Galvan. Yolanda is survived by her husband, Santiago Galvan; her daughter, Olga Varney (Carlos Chavez); her sons, Santiago Galvan, Jr. and Arturo Farias; grandchildren, Juan D. Varney, Manuel D. Varney, Felipe R. Gonzalez, Mya A. Chavez and Petra M. Cisneros; brothers, Hilario (Isabel) Avila and Manuel (San Juanita) Gonzalez; nieces and nephews, Chrissy, Hilario, Jr., Margret and Benito, Jr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at La Palma Baptist Church in San Benito, TX. Services will conclude after church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Galvan Family Words of comfort can be sent to the family of Yolanda G.
