Please share a memory of Rosalio to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rosalio G. Hernandez “Chalio” was born in Port Isabel, Texas on May 31, 1961, and entered into eternal rest at Valley Regional Medical Hospital on February 1, 2024. He was a long-time resident of Port Isabel, TX, and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Chalio grew up in a big family and was an amazing son, brother, and the best uncle. He would become best friends with anyone whom he came across. He worked for many years at B&B and Mata’s. Chalio was always a helping hand, whether it be cleaning houses, cutting yards, driving you to doctor appointments, babysitting, dog sitting, house sitting or even driving you to the voting poll. No matter what was asked of him he never said no. He had a great passion to care for all animals. He also had a love for doves and parrots. In the eyes of others, he was a strong male figure. He was always there for his nieces and nephews whether it be giving them snacks from where he worked when they asked for it. He really appreciated spending quality time with his family, especially taking care of the nieces and nephews or feeding the family delicious meals including his famous homemade flour tortillas. He made sure to be present in everyone's lives whether that meant going to events or going out for a drink. He left a strong print on our hearts, and he will forever be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Rosalio and Josefa Hernandez, Maternal Grandparents: Bernando and Martina Puente Garcia, Paternal Grandparents: Cresencio and Ester R. Hernandez, Sister: Estella Hernandez, Sister In-Law: Martha Hernandez, Brother In-laws: Apolinar “Polo” Vasquez, and Jesus Moriel, and a nephew: Jesus Guadalupe Moriel.
