Manuela Carrizales Abrego, 83, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was a hard worker, great cook, loving, caring, and a housewife. She opened her home to every niece and nephew. Manuela adopted a son and raised two of her grandchildren. She never left anyone without a plate of food, and always helped anyone in need. She lived the last of her years with her granddaughter, enjoyed every second with her great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cenovio Abrego, brothers, Geronimo and Nicolas, and sister, Maria. Left to cherish her memory are Rosalinda, Jose, Alberta Natividad, Rigoberto, and Daniel Abrego, siblings; Alberta, Guadalupe, and Juan Carrizales, grandchildren; Jessica (Jose Roberto), Shaney, Brenda, Amanda, Oscar Jr., Mario, Jose, Manuel, Zoraida, Joey, Kayla, and Natalie, great-grandchildren; Ruby, Julian, Romeo, Alexa, Maxi, Roxy, Alihah, Aiden, Abigail, Alfredo, Damaris, Mariana, Sarahi, Jose Roberto Jr., Henry Leonardo, Joceylnn, Noemi, Ester, Rebecca, Jocelynn, Jayce, Ashley, Aydin, Maya, Daven, Zena, Mario, Monique, and Mayo, great-great-granddaughters; Jeralynn, Zoey, and Lelani. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A 10:00 a.m. chapel service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with a burial to follow to Abrego Family Cemetery in El Ranchito, Texas.
