Maria Antonia Valdez, 92, of Los Fresnos, TX passed away at her residence in Los Fresnos surrounded by her loved ones. Maria A. Valdez was born in Mexico on April 15, 1931. After immigrating from Mexico, Maria and her husband settled in Los Fresnos, Texas. She will be remembered for her faith, love of family, strong work ethic, charismatic personality, wit, and humorous storytelling. Her family and friends will deeply miss her presence, but her legacy will live in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her husband Mauro Valdez, Sr. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Maria D. Valdez, Mauro Valdez (Anna), Raul Valdez and Francisco Valdez (Vanessa); 3 siblings, Chuy Valdez, Gloria Ibarra, and Antonio Valdez. In addition, she is survived by her loving grandchildren, Monica Valdez, Anthony Valdez, Mario Valdez, Elizabeth Valdez, and Marissa Valdez; and great-grandchildren, Logan Valdez and Oliver Valdez. A 10:00 a.m. Rosary will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, immediately followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 606 W. Ocean Blvd, Los Fresnos, TX with interment of ashes to follow to Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, TX.
