J. Jesus Ibarra, 66, of Los Fresnos, TX passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, November 01, 2023, at Harlingen Medical Center. Jesus “Chuy” was born on Tuesday, June 11, 1957, in El Oro, Mexico. He had a passion for perfecting his craft for carpentry. He was an animal whisperer, his hands helped cure many of his beloved pets. He enjoyed listening to music and having a cold beverage with his good friends. He was the person anyone could seek advice or help with personal matters. He was here to listen and give great big hugs. He was a silly man who enjoyed making others laugh. He always wanted to spend more time with his wife Josie. Together they enjoyed going out to restaurants and shopping. He was a loving husband, father, father-in law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and best friend. He was proud to have been able to provide a loving home for his family. His family meant everything to him and was in constant contact with each of them. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for any one of them. His ever-caring heart, energy, compassion, jokes, and hugs will be missed immensely. Jesus is preceded in death by his father Gonzalo Ibarra Soto, his three brothers Gonzalo Ibarra Hernandez, Fedencio Ibarra Hernandez, Raul Ibarra Hernandez, and one sister, Veronica Ibarra Hernandez. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 43 years, Josefina (Josie) Ybarra; his mother, Maria Hernandez Medina; his four children daughter, Jessica (Jaime) Barbosa; son, Jaime (Yvonne) Ybarra; daughter, Ana Elizabeth Ibarra (Erik); and son, Jesus Reynaldo Ibarra (Mariela). In addition, he is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Jay, Jayden James, and Jacob Jayven Ybarra, Jayvrie Isabella, and Jahlyse Itzel Barbosa, Jesus, Dayana, Emilio, and Adaly Ibarra, Tiare Juliana Alcala Ibarra; 3 great grandchildren; Ana Fabiloa, Monserrat, and Aleika Nicole Lara; 1 brother, Raymundo (Mireya) Ibarra Hernandez; 4 sisters, Sofia Ibarra Hernandez, Ester Ibarra Hernandez, Guadalupe Ibarra Barron, and Norma Ibarra Hernandez; several nieces and nephews, brother and sister in laws, and good friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 04, 2023, from 4:00-9:00pm with a memorial service at 6:00pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
