Magdalena Perez, 73, of Los Fresnos, TX passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Harlingen Medical Center. She was known for her humble and joyful personality. Maggie was a very religious woman and was an active member of Iglesia Templo La Hermosa in San Benito, Texas, where she would sing and worship with her community. She is preceded in death by her parents, Perfecto Marin Rodriguez, Jr., and Maria Rodriguez; sister, Maria Alicia Aguilera and brother, Perfecto “Sonny” Rodriguez; and 2 sons, Rudy Balboa, and Marco Antonio Perez. She is survived by her husband, Antonio Perez; 2 sons, Miguel Andres Perez, and Misael Augustin Perez; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
