Obituary of Enrique Holland

Enrique Holland, 43, known to everyone as “Henry”, of Port Isabel/South Padre Island, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his residence on South Padre Island, Texas.

He is remembered for being so generous, kind, and always with a smile.  Henry lived his life to the fullest and he sure was one of a kind.

Henry worked at South Padre Island all his life starting at the age of 12 with his father John Holland at the Jetties Restaurant.  Most recently, he worked at Tom and Jerry’s Restaurant for 17 years and for Henry this was his home even until his last moment.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Holland.

Enrique is survived by his mother, Amada Holland, one sister, Ana Laura (Jaime) Flores Holland, step-brothers and step-sisters; John (Noemi) Holland Jr., Daniel (Ana) Holland, David Holland, Dora Holland, Robert Holland and Connie Holland, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas, in accordance to his wishes cremation will follow.
