Obituary of Juan Mesa

Juan S. Mesa, “DJ Johnny” of San Benito, Texas, passed away at age 55 on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and moved to the valley in 1997.

Left to cherish him is one son, Dylan Jacob Mesa; parents: Jose Jr and Maria Alicia Mesa; one brother, Jose (Lulu) Mesa III, one sister, Cristela (Daniel) Petykowski; nephews and nieces  Alec Mesa, Zachary Mesa, Sean (Lizzie) Petykowski, Nicole (Nicholas) Hensley, Aaron Petykowski, Michelle (Chris) Sanders and  Sara Mesa; great-grandnephew, Caleb Hensley; and great-grandniece, Charlotte Sanders

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
