Josefa Cavazos Gonzales, 94, of La Tina, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Martin R. Gonzales; parents, Juan and Eleodora Salazar-Cavazos; two brothers; two sisters; and two grandsons, Martin Gonzales and Jose Nicolas Gonzales. Josefa is survived by two sons, Gustavo (Canderia) Gonzales and Juan C. (Minerva) Gonzales; four daughters: Virginia Rosas, Elisa (Juan F.) Gonzales, Ester McNabb, and Gracie Patterson; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo, Texas. Burial will follow at Las Yescas Cemetery in Rio Hondo, Texas.
