Bayview, TX - David Wayne Starkey, 53, passed away Monday, December 1, 2008 at his residence in Bayview, TX. He was born June 26, 1955 in Circleville, Ohio.
David was a carpenter by trade and loved to surf. His free spirit and laughter will be missed by his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Nelson and Norma L. Starkey.
David is survived by his brothers, Andrew Nelson (Janet) Starkey of Stoutsville, OH; Kenneth Eugene (Jan) Starkey of Ashville, OH; and a sister, Brenda Joyce (Ruben) Fernandez of Bayview, TX; nieces and nephews, Eric Starkey, Steven Starkey, Laura Weaver, Keith Starkey, Crystal Clarke, Andrea Tiffany Fernandez and Shayna Nicole Fernandez.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 12 Noon at Isla Blanca Park at the Pavilion on South Padre Island. Pastor Steve Dorman of First Baptist Church of Brownsville will be officiating.
