San Benito, TX - Florita Vega Riojas, 35, of San Benito, TX passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in Jackson, Wyoming. Florita was a very happy and loving person; she always had a smile on her face and loved to joke around; she will be greatly missed by her loving family, friends, and her co-workers at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She is survived by her loving parents, Arturo and Luisa "Maria" Vega; 2 sons, Jose Daniel Romero and Damian Romero; her husband, Gilberto Riojas; 8 sisters, Eloisa (Alfredo) Resendez, Irma Vega, Rosario (Rosendo) Muniz, Gloria Salinas, Leticia (Lionel) Rodriguez, Marisela (Jerry) Guzman, Irene (Victor) De La Fuente, and Lupita (Alfonso) Garza; 8 nephews, 6 nieces, several aunts, uncles and other relatives. Visitations will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Sunday November 2, 2008 from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Pallbearers will be Alfredo Resendez, Rosendo Muniz, Lionel Rodriguez Jr., Jerry Guzman Jr., Victor De La Fuente, Jesse Resendez, Robert Resendez Jr., Eloisa Resendez, and Rosario Muniz. Honorary Pallbearers will be her 2 sons, Joe Daniel Romero and Damian Romero.
