Los Fresnos, TX - Jesus Vasquez, 89, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at his residence in Los Fresnos. Mr. Vasquez was born on February 4, 1919 in La Paloma, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus, Sr. and Carmen Salazar Vasquez and his siblings. Mr. Vasquez is survived by his wife, Angelica Vasquez; her daughters, Amelia (Tilo) Saldana, Maria G. (Juan Alberto) Izaguirre, Carmen (Ray) Acuna; her sons, Victor (Ruby) Vasquez, Jose D. Vasquez, Alfonso Vasquez; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Friday, July 4, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal Service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
