San Benito, TX - Jose Gilberto Calderon, 34, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Calderon will be dearly missed by his family .He was a good son, husband, brother and specially a wonderful father who will not be forgotten. His soul will be in our hearts and will always remember the good times we spend together. He enjoyed driving his 18 wheeler, fishing and having cookouts with his family and his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Julie Calderon; children, Lupe Serrata Jr., Lori Jo and Lorraine Calderon; parents, Jose Gilberto and Carlota Calderon; brother and sisters, Martin Calderon, Juanita Gomez, Mary Guetzow, Robert Calderon, Evelyn Rivera and Eduardo Calderon. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, June 4, 2008, from 12pm to 9pm. Visitation will resume Thursday, June 05, 2008 with a rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 6, 2008 at La Paloma Catholic Church in La Paloma, Texas. Committal service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
