San Benito, Texas: Enrique D. Hernandez, 62 passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Retama Manor Nursing Home in Harlingen. Enrique was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus R. and Juanita D. Hernandez. Enrique was born and raised in San Benito and lived in Ohio for several years. He served in the United States Army for 12 years and was Honorably Discharged. He is survived by his children, Sharon, Ricky, and Becky Hernandez, his wife Gloria Casas Hernandez and their children, Phoebe Montes, Michael, Gabriel, and Jacob Ramirez and 2 grandsons. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria A. Hernandez of San Benito, 2 brothers, Jesus (Adriana) Hernandez of San Benito and Juan (Yolanda) Hernandez of Waukegan, Ill.; and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held today Wednesday May 02, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel in San Benito. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday May 03, 2007 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 South Inspiration Road, in Mission, Texas. Military Honors will be conducted at the graveside by Army Funeral Detail of McAllen and San Antonio, Texas.
