San Benito, TX - Merced Caballero, 84 of San Benito, Texas passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at Vita Hospice Care in Houston, Texas. She was a resident of San Benito for the past 20 years and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church of San Benito. She is preceded in death by her parents, Taurino and Maria Inez Rodriguez; 6 brothers, Guadalupe, Enrique, Raul, Mauro, Taurino Jr., Israel Rodriguez; and 1 sister, Edolina Cantu. Ms. Caballero is survived by her loving husband, Roberto Caballero of San Benito, TX; 5 sons, Roberto (Sherry) Caballero, Francisco (Consuelo) Caballero, Reynaldo (Amalia) Caballero, Artemio (Rosa) Caballero and Miguel Angel Caballero all of Houston, TX.; and a sister, Maria Gonzalez of Brownsville, TX. Visitation will be held today, March 25, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday March 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Pallbearers will be Martin Aranda, Pedro Rodriguez, Antonio Caballero, Luis Caballero, John Marshall, and Eric Vargas.
