Harlingen, Texas/San Benito, Texas Sara Argullin Peña passed away on January 3, 2008 at the age of 90 at Harlingen Medical Center. She was born in San Benito, Texas on September 27, 1917. She was a wonderful Mom, cook, aunt to her nieces, nephews and the best grandmother ever. She is survived by the following: Husband; Jose Antonio Peña (Harlingen), 5 Children; Jose A. Peña, Jr.(Charleston, SC) Carmela Veiria (Federal Way, Wash. State), Diane McGovern (Woodsboro, TX), Connie Murphy (Green Valley, AZ), Graciela Garza (Allensworth, CA), 13 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and Sister: Susana Argullin Hernandez of Harlingen, Texas. She was preceded in death by her Father: Guillermo Argullin and Mother: Luz De Leon Argullin - descendant of Martin De Leon founder of Victoria, Texas. 2 Brothers: Armin Argullin and Aaron Argullin and a Sister; Sulema Haynes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Chapel Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Aaron A. Argullin, Arnold Argullin, Jose Luis Argullin, Agustin A. Argullin, Armin Argullin, Francisco Argullin, Guadalupe Argullin and Steven Levi Argullin.
