Raquel Arguello Banda,89, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022. Mrs. Raquel Banda was born on March 8, 1933, in Aramberri, Nuevo Leon, Mexico but lived in San Benito with her husband and children most of her life. She passed away peacefully surrounded by all her children. Raquel dedicated her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren and was especially fond of traveling, chalupa, and enjoying the slots. This was her past time hobby the last 10 years of her life, which she enjoyed with her children. She will be greatly missed by friends and family, but Heaven has gained another angel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Teodoro Banda; son, Teodoro E. Banda; and grandson, Jeremiah Lee Orta; mother, Cruz Marin Arguello; brother, Jose Angel Arguello and her sister, Maria Arguello Hernandez. Left to cherish her memories are her sons: Jose Francisco (Alejandra) Banda, Pedro C. Banda, Raynaldo A. Banda, Juan A. (Diana) Banda, and Jesus D. Banda; daughters: Maria Banda Roberts, R. Martha Garza, Juanita V. (Raymundo) Garza, Norma L. Leandro, and Laura B. (Ancelmo) Sosa; Sisters: Joaquina Padilla, Ernestina Suarez; 35 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Memorial Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 351 S Bowie St, San Benito, TX with internment to follow at Las Yescas Cemetery.
