Modesto C. Rodriguez Jr., peacefully passed from this life on August 14, 2022, in Harlingen, TX. He was born to the late Modesto, Sr. and Octaviana Rodriguez on July 19, 1949, in San Benito, TX. Modesto is a graduate from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX. He took pride in the Blue Bonnet Adult Day Cares he owned in San Benito, Los Fresnos, and Elsa, TX. We mourn the wonderful father and grandfather that he was. He is survived by his wife, Gracie T. Rodriguez and his children, Vanessa Monique, Mario (Claudia) and Modesto Alberto Rodriguez, along with grandchildren Ethan, Dylan Cerda, Gavin Alessanro Barrera, Brandon Yaro Rodriguez, Claudia Itzel (Marcus), and great grandchild Luka Taylor. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Arnulfo, and sisters Paula Gonzalez, and Carmen Garcia. He is survived by his brothers Fermin and Arnold (Renee) and sisters Jovita (Michael), Olivia, Yolanda, Corina, and numerous nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Thomae- Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
