Please share a memory of Carmen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carmen Degasperi born on April 22 1944 (78), entered into eternal rest on June 30, 2022, at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. She is preceded in death by her father, Cesare Degasperi (1883-1970) and mother, Julia Degasperi (1920-2013) whom Carmen greatly loved and would often speak of. Carmen lived in downtown Laureles all her life and ran the restaurant her parents started around the late 40’s “Cookies Café” a favorite of Laureles that people still often talk about to this day. Carmen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to church, watering her plants, caring for her cats, cooking, and reminiscing about the good ole’ days at the cafe when things were simple. Carmen was a loving and caring sister to Delia, Elias, Johnny and Robert, not to mention a loving aunt to all her niece (Julie) and nephews. (Elias Jr, Charlie, Jonathan, Nicholas) Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday July 5th, 2022, 12pm at St. Cecilia Church in Los Fresnos, followed by the burial services and final goodbye around 1:15 at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
