Angel Remigio Torres Martinez, 74 od San Benito, went to be with our Lord, on March 11, 2022, at Harlingen Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Salvador and Silvia Torres, along with a son Jesus Angel Torres. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Elvira Torres, his daughter, Elvira Ethel Torres. Also surviving are his siblings, Ma. Carmen Torres, Moises Torres, Ma. Elena Torres, Santiago Torres, and Carlos Zuniga, along with his grandchildren, Gerardo Torres, Jesus Angel Torres Jr. Sofia Torres, and Alfredo Lopez Torres. Angel fue un gran hombre, hijo, esposo, hermano, papa y abuelo. Desde muy chico tuvo la gran responsabilidad de criar a todos sus hermanos. Angel tenia una forma de ver la vida. Era una persona muy amable, muy gracioso, y su gran pasión era el baile. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm. Visitation will continue Thursday, March 17, 2022 with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10 am at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with burial to follow to San Benito City Cemetery. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
