Beatrice C. Garza, 86, of Harlingen, TX passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Harlingen. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and her great grandchild. Her favorite past times included playing bingo and maquinitas. She also liked doing word puzzles and playing cards. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Chavez; mother, Severa Chavez; brother, Jesus Chavez Jr., and husband, Margarito Garza. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Priscilla Canales; siblings, Ruben Chavez, Virginia Saldana, Rumalda Lopez, and Linda Gonzales, grandchildren, Arnold Garza, Andrew Garza, Abel Canales, Monica Canales, and Arthur Canales; and great grandchild, Evan Garza. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A Chapel service will be held on Thursday February 24, 2022 at 10 am at Thomae-Garza funeral home in Sa Benito with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Cemetery. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and face covers or masks are recommended.
