Francisca “Panchita” Lopez 82, 03/09/1939 - 02/02/2022 has sadly passed away. She was raised in San Benito, TX by her oldest sister Maria Garcia and after her passing, her niece Aniseta Flores took over her care. She was preceded in death by her father Dolores Lopez and mother Nazaria Zuniga Lopez; Sisters Maria Garcia, Catarina Jaime, Guadalupe Lopez, Juanita Lopez and brother, Roman Lopez. Aniseta was Francisca’s love and joy, she would call her by mami. She enjoyed spending time with her nephews, Jesus Flores III, Jacob Flores (Carilu) and his daughters Abigail and Carissa. She is survived by her sister Micaela Jacuinde from Lubbock, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed visiting her niece Raquel G. Ornelas (Jesus) and her daughter Jessica Lara (Walter) and her daughters, Winter and Emma as well as her nephew Ruben Garcia (Martha). “Panchita” was always an active person and embroidery was her passion, she did so many beautiful work. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with cremation to follow according to her wishes. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and face covers or masks are recommended.
