Elvia Alarcon Castillo, 79, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Sunday, January, 23, 2022. She was born Sept. 30, 1942 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas and married her husband on Nov. 17, 1961. A loyal Jehovah's Witness, she was faithful until her death. Her life was spent caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her homemade flour tortillas (with butter) were a favorite among family and friends. Her children and grandchildren had the privilege of taking care of her the last two months of her life, like she once did to them. She is preceded in death by her by her husband Lucio O Castillo; parents, Vicente and Maria Alarcon; brothers Hector Suarez, Juan Jose Suarez, Antonio Suarez and Roberto Suarez; sister, Amalia Suarez and nephew Vicente Alarcon III. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Lucio A Castillo (Maria), Esmeralda Barrientos (George) and Cesar Castillo (Ludy); brother, Vicente Alarcon II (Laura); grandchildren, Kairo Cesar & Karen Castillo; Horacio Rodriguez; Oziel, Daniel, Maurah, Lucio IV and Ana Christina Castillo; Oscar Yanez; Dominique Benavidez, Destiney Benavidez, Mimi Beltran and Deedee; great-grandchildren, Alexis Rodriguez, Oryn Castillo, Noah and Nicholas Benavidez and Ariah Martinez.
