Guadalupe R. Machuca, 76, of San Benito, went to be with our Lord, on January 16, 2022, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lorenzo Machuca. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel (Lisa) Machuca, Diamantina (Angel) Zuniga, Maria Elena Machuca, Rosa (George) Lopez, Irene (Juan) Machuca, Veronica Machuca, Lorenzo Jr.(Nelda)Machuca, Ofelia (Gumaro) Machuca, Mage Estella (Jose) Machuca, and Lucia Machuca. Also surviving are her siblings, Rebecca, Julia, Elena, Roy, Santiago, Antonio, Bonifacio, and Jimmy, along with 41 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and many other family members. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 2 p.m., at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in San Benito, with burial to follow to San Benito Memorial Park. All individuals are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by socially distancing a minimum space of 6 feet apart and must wear face covers or masks.
