Obituary of Jose Santos Zamora

Jose Santos “Joe” Zamora, 49, of Port Isabel, Texas went with the Lord on December 22, 2021. Santos was a true blessing to his children. He would do anything and everything for his wife, children, grandchildren, his family and friends. Nothing could stop him when he was determined. He went to Port Isabel High School till 9th grade got his GED to help his mother. He later on and went to go to Kaplan College and Graduated with a 5.0 GPA. He was extremely hardworking since the age of 12 all the way till his last breathe here on earth. Not a day went by where he wasn’t doing something around the house like building the fences, clubhouse, trophy cases, and etc. With the power of the Great Lord he is reunited with the love of his life once again. He will be dearly missed by many loved ones that stayed behind. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years Maria G. Zamora; grandson, Reynaldo S. Alvarado Jr.; granddaughter Artlette H. Castillo; his parents: Cecilia Cantu Zamora; Ricardo Zamora Jr.; maternal grandparents, Carlos G. and Veronica C. Cantu; paternal grandparents, Ricardo and Maria Santos Zamora; brother: Ricardo Zamora III; brother-in-law: Reynaldo Barrientez Sr., and Alberto Villarreal Jr.; and numerous uncles and aunts. Surviving Santos is his three loving daughters: Larissa Nicole Zamora, Teresa Marie Zamora, and Ziza Marie Zamora; one son, Jose Santos Zamora Jr.; eight grandkids: Edison Cienfuegos Jr., Evalette Nikole Sosa, Rayelette Cataleya Alvarado, Jorden Alizae Cienfuegos, Carliee Amaniee Cienfuegos, Amaziah Rayland Alvarado, Lorenzo Santos Cienfuegos, and Aksel Spencer Cienfuegos; Fur babies: Zara Marie Zamora, Angel Zamora, and Skaar Zamora; his loving three sisters: Gloria Z. Barrientez, Rosa Maria Z. (Roberto Sr.) Mora, and Mary (Tony) Cruz; three brothers: Israel (Irma) Zamora, Danny (Sarah) Zamora, and David Zamora; sister-in-law: Ivonne; In-Laws: Constancio and Lucila Martinez Sr.; four sisters-in-law: Celestina (Carlos) Salazar, Lucinda Martinez, and Connie (Gregorio) Gutierrez Jr.; brother-in-law: Constancio (Diana) Martinez Jr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. Visitation to be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home located at 395 S. Sam Houston Blvd. in San Benito, Texas. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday December, 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located at 705 S. Longoria Street in Port Isabel Texas. in accordance to his wishes cremation to follow.
