Maria R. Gonzales, 94, of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on Thursday December 9, 2021. Maria is preceded in death by her husband: Benigno “Ben” Gonzales, parents: Reynaldo and Catarina C. Olivarez, brothers: Dario Olivarez, Miguel Olivarez, and Ramon Olivarez. Left to cherish her memories are her 3 children: Hector (Rachel) Gonzalez, Frank (Rosie) Gonzalez, Enedelia (John) Leos, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 5 siblings: Jose Angel Olivarez, Aurora Garcia, Griselda Hernandez, Amelia Tuttle, Irene Castillo, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday morning, December 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 606 W Ocean Blvd, Los Fresnos, TX with interment to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Frank Gonzalez, Jr., Tanya Leos, John A. Leos, Victor Leos, Jesus Daniel Gonzalez, Aaron Patino, Ivan Gonzalez, and Isaiah Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearers are: Amanda Gonzalez, and Christian Carreon.
