Ricardo “Rick” Zartuche Jr. was called home to our Lord on Thursday November 18, 2021 in Harlingen, Texas. He passed peacefully and in prayer, surrounded by those who love him. Rick was born in Harvey, Illinois on June 23, 1957 to Ricardo Zartuche Sr. and Antonia De Los Santos. He served 11 years in the United States Army. Throughout his life he worked as a ship mechanical engineer and most recently in the trucking business. Nevertheless, he is remembered by many as a biker who loved the freedom of the open road. Honesty, truthfulness, strength, bravery, attentiveness and righteousness are only a few of the words that describe the man Rick was. He will be greatly missed and always remembered and respected for his tenacity to continue his purposeful journey. He is survived by his wife: Hayde C. Zartuche; his three brothers: Noe Zartuche, Sr.; Ruben (Dora) Zartuche, Sr.; Jaime (Cristina) Zartuche, Sr.; and four sisters: Sylvia (Kirby) Carpenter, Diana (Walter) Riedel, Cynthia Zartuche, Delia Zartuche. 14 nephews and 2 nieces and several grandnephews/grandnieces.
